Repairing gate automation electrical issues often requires methodical detective work to identify where the issue is coming from and what caused it in the first place. Sometimes, the issue is caused by the initial installation being carried out badly. For instance, the electrical components in an underground swing gate motor can’t be submerged in water for long periods or they will fail. If an underground gate motor in installed in a foundation box that doesn’t have sufficient drainage for rainwater, the motor will be flooded out and the electrics will fail.
Automatic gates can be swing gates or sliding gates. These have different types of motors that can experience different problems. Regular servicing is great at helping spot potential issues before they can cause breakdowns But when a gate’s automation system fails, you need to know that the repairs will be quick and that they will solve the problem properly.

When the motor has failed completely or is beyond repair, it has to come out and the drainage issue must be sorted out. We then install a brand new motor and set the gates up to work perfectly.
